Development Trends of China’s Land Science and Technology

Being an important support for sustainable development of economy and society, the utilization of land resources directly relates with national food security, economic security ,ecological security, the economic development and social stability. Therefore, it is significant to develop land science and technology so as to accelerate rational utilization of land resources and improve the support ability of land resources to the economy. Focusing on the economic development and combining with the land management practices the land science and technology in China is proceeding land survey, land assessment, land planning, land management, land protection and rational utilization using scientific theory, means and methods. The support capacity of technical on land management has been thoroughly improved due to the development and innovation of land science and technology.
