Institute Holds Sino-Africa Land Use Advanced Workshop
The Sino-Africa Land Use Advanced Workshop sponsored by Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Land and Resources will be held October 16th through 30th, 2006. The workshop is a sub-program of the development program of Aiding Foreign Human Resource Program of the Ministry of Commerce, for the purpose of introducing senior land administrators of some African countries about the basic situations of land use and land administration in China, including her land administration policy, laws and regulations, land market, the development of technology application, land reform history and its current situations; to make broad exchange of views between China and African countries on the land administration experiences in a rapid economical and social development period, and to provide a platform to explore the cooperation in land resource administration.
Methods of lecturing and view-exchanging will be used in the workshop, and specialists from Ministry of Land and Resources, Chinese Land Surveying and Planning Institute and Chinese Agricultural University will be invited to discuss with 30 more senior officers serving at land administration departments of about 15 African countries, including the South Africa, Ghana, Kenya and some specialists from international agencies. After the meeting, the participants will visit Shandong and Zhejiang provinces for inspection of some related topics, including new rural construction, land administration and urban cadastral information system and so on, and prepare to publish a conference thesis collection and an introduction to land administration institutions in Africa. |
